Since the beginning of the year the teachers have been offering the Orange Gators different types of markers, paper and materials. This includes art supplies, bubble wrap, and much more. For this group of students, one piece of paper, one easel, or a small area isn’t nearly enough space for these little ones’ mark making. Their imagination and motor skills lead to some very large mark making activities. While learning through play, these students might not even realize they are learning and practicing so many skills – fine and gross motor skills, problem solving, sharing, language development, as well as pushing themselves outside of their comfort limits by experiencing new textures, smells and materials. This can sometimes be challenging for young students as they experience something for the first time. Class mark marking is never simple and there are very few boundaries for their big imaginations.
