  • Is my child old enough to attend Little Gate?

The majority of our students enter our program after their first birthday.  If your child is one year old on or before August 31st then they are eligible for our one year old program.  Little Gate does offer programming for students that are under a year old, however, space is limited and preference is given to McGehee faculty.
  • What is the first step in applying?

The first step is applying online. Click here for the online application. Once you have applied you will automatically be placed in our waiting pool and will receive emails about important upcoming events.
  • Is there an application fee?

There is a $50 nonrefundable fee that you must pay when you apply online.  The fee will continue to roll over with your application each year that your child is eligible for enrollment.
  • When should I apply?

It’s never too early to apply to Little Gate.  It’s always a good idea to fill out the online application at least one year prior to your desired entry date.  Contracts are typically offered 6 months before the start of each school year.
  • Is Little Gate co-ed?

Yes! Little Gate maintains a ratio of 1/3 boys.
  • When can I tour Little Gate?

Tours of Little Gate are offered on weekday mornings from October-May.  We recommend you tour our facility the year prior to your child entering the program.
  • Should I bring my child with me on the tour?

No. We highly recommend a parents only tour. This personal tour time is an important time for parents to learn all about our program and thoughtfully ask questions that they have.
  • Does attending Little Gate guarantee acceptance to McGehee for my daughter?

While attending Little Gate is a meaningful way of joining the McGehee family, prior to entry into the “big school,” Pre-K through 12, we do require each child go through the McGehee Admissions process. Click here for detailed information about applying to Pre-K.
  • Does Little Gate offer financial assistance?

Little Gate does not offer financial aid.  We do allow a variety of payment options for our families. Click here to learn more about program options, fees, and payment plans.

  • Is Little Gate a full year program?

No. Little Gate follows the McGehee school calendar and operates from mid-August to late May. Summer camp and holiday camp are available to students once they have completed a year at Little Gate.
  • Are uniforms required at Little Gate?
