Drive by Little Gate on St. Charles Avenue and you will observe children in the Butterfly Garden, examining plants, insects and chasing butterflies. Look around our campus and you may find teachers and students on a walk -- observing light and shadows or noticing nature and discovering shapes. Visit the tinker lab where two and three year olds are engaging in design thinking through deconstruction, chain reactions and circuitry. Our students are acting as mini-scientists through their imaginations and sensory play. They are gathering information, developing skills, forming ideas, experimenting and refining. Young children want to know how their world works and Little Gate opens the door to a world of exploration.
