With it getting darker outside and the many lights that are decorating the city, a few of our classes have decided to explore Light and Shadows. They have set up overhead projectors in the classrooms for the children to shadow play and build, set up many inviting materials on the light tables, added flashlights, hung holiday lights and experimented outdoors with their own shadows. The discovered that their shadows move on the playground at different times of the day, they may be taller or shorter and even fatter or skinner depending on where they stand. A fun game has been to see if you can make your shadows hold hands! Try it at home with your Little Gater and see what happens!!
